Pentacles

General meaning

Pentacles show stability, wealth and substance. Mostly they mean money, income or assets. Sometimes they can mean plans, investments or business too.

The Pentacles are the Earth suit, the element you can touch. So most of their meanings are about things we can see, from small objects to big things like land, houses or buildings. Earth has structure and clear patterns, so it can also show things that are orderly, like an investment plan or a business.

In general, when Pentacles come up, besides money they also mean that things that were unclear start to become clear. The results of work or business start to bear fruit, or the truth starts to come out. If few Pentacles come up, things are still unclear and can’t really be counted on yet.

The court cards of the Pentacles are mostly well off. They mean what they say and do what they say, and they focus on getting things done. They’re very careful, sometimes so careful they can seem slow. Whatever they do, they need to be sure before they decide.
